Lessons

AT THIS TIME, ALL RIDING LESSONS HAVE BEEN CANCELED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BEING PLACED ON OUR WAITING LIST FOR WHEN WE ARE ABLE TO TEACH AGAIN, PLEASE EMAIL US.

Beginner to Advanced Riding Lessons now available.

Iron Oak Canyon Ranch is an Inspire Charter School approved vendor.

We teach ages 7 and up for independent riding, with leadline and groundwork-only lessons available for students under age 7.

We teach the foundation of all things horsemanship, from behavior, handling, training, and care to, of course, time in the saddle. Our goal isn't to create hobbyists, it's to create horse people. Students will begin in a Western saddle to learn basics and control, progress to an English saddle and bareback with a pad, and from there can go in any direction they choose. The ranch also offers play days and gaming events for students to practice lesson techniques in a fun environment outside of class.

$50 for a roughly 1-hour private lesson

$40 for a roughly 1-hour group lesson (coming soon)
$35 for a roughly 1-hour private lesson on your own horse (if coming from outside, must have current vaccinations on file with main office)
$25 for 1/2 hour leadline or groundwork only lesson for students under age 7.

Lesson students get a 20% discount on all Equine Education programs offered at the Ranch, as well.

All students must have a signed liability waiver on file. All minors must be accompanied by an adult, and wear an ASTM-approved equestrian activities helmet while under our instruction. The ranch has helmets to borrow, or you may purchase your own. Riders of all ages must wear long pants and shoes with a low heel (1").
